I guess pictures are kind of like having a baby (kindof), you love them each so much you don't think you could love another, and then you have another and you love it just as much! Although I seem to love each wedding I do, I am thinking this one tops the list! It was fun, relaxed, cold, but no complaining, nice family, wonderful couple, and beautiful settings everywhere! Thanks Becca and Mike for being willing to kiss on demand, and hang out in the snow--beauty hurts, but I am thinking it was well worth it!

re-do
it is really nothing new, I was just playing around in photoshop and liked what I came up with! It is just what I do when I am avoiding cleaning the house......I seem to do that a lot. :)

baby Isabella
This past weekend while visiting my parents (and sisters), my mom gave me this great scale that she found at an antique shop! I was wishing I had a baby to photograph on it so I could "test it out", when my sister reminded me that her sister-in-law had just had a baby the day before! So we scheduled it for the next day! we only had a half an hour to get it all done (baby's don't usually cooperate), and it turned out marvelous-with only a few minor "peeing" setbacks!
What a beautiful baby! Next up it the big sister, Elizabeth! With all those curls, you would think she was related! As she wandered in and out of the baby's photo shoot, I couldn't help but turn around and snap a photo or two! And notice my cool signature at the bottom! I just learned how to make that in photoshop!

It's about time I posted something new!
This photo shoot was worth the rain we shot it in! I even think I ruined my flash- I am letting it dry out so I can test it, but I am thinking they were worth it! It was so fun doing Randy's senior pictures, I was a teacher in primary when he was on of those obnoxious boys and then he moved away a few years ago, so fun to see him all grown up! Thanks for coming back to visit!

Little miss Nicole!
oh man, is it hard to pick my favorites this time! There are so many! This little girl was an angel, ok, a little sassy angel, but just darn beautiful! We had so much fun just playing around taking silly pictures (I put some of those below). She is going to be baptized in a couple weeks, and is so excited she can hardly stand it.! She is the oldest of the family below, their first to be baptized, and I think it will be a huge deal! Congrats Nica!

Dogs and two year old's
wanna know which one is harder to photograph? It is a toss up! They are both wiggly, and easily distracted, but dogs don't have to smile, and if they are mad at you, you can't tell in a picture. hmmm. But you can bribe little kids with treats, hmmmm. I will think on it!
Although this is a very young family, they really weren't that hard! Megan was my assistant and was perfect at entertaining them to get these great smiles! All but Bianca. The two year old (who is such a doll). She just wanted nothing to do with any of it! She even plays at my house a lot, so she knows me, she shouldn't be scared of me, but if I ever said her name she would start to cry!
The dog, well he just wanted to go chase ducks! But he would pause every once in a while for a picture! Good thing Doug was so photogenic, just always ready for those quick moments when "Kooter" sat down!

traditions!
Ok, doesn't she have the BIGGEST eyes! This is that cute little chubby bald baby, all grown up! Ok, only 2, but look at all that hair!
I did this families pictures a couple years ago, so when they called me I was excited to see how they have grown! They all thought it would be fun if every year they took the same picture, same spot, so they could see how they change over the years. I thought it was a fun idea. (I didn't get quite the same pose) . A new TRADITION! I just took these an hour ago, and just thought it would be fun to throw them up here together!
*note--- I shoot families with my film camera, so my best shots never make it on the blog!

The Johns Family
This was the Photo shoot I did for my birthday on saturday (a request by Tami to see them)! We had a great time, and they were so sweet and gave me a yummy HUGE eclair and dinner certificate, and sang to me. I would post more of them- we did some other poses, but I have so many heads to swap (we had some unhappy kids), it might take me a little while longer!
Marta is such a great person, and a good friend. Although we don't have kids in common (none the same age) we have scrapbooking in common and got to know each other through late night scrap parties! She is brilliantly talented, wonderful singer (she has a cd, Marta Johns at deseret book) and a great person. It has been great doing their families pictures over the years and watching them grow!

It is hard to rival my own children
but these little guys did it! They were just the cutest boys (and baby sister!). With little ones you never have much time before they are bored, but these guys performed perfectly for the few minutes (or seconds) that I needed. Thanks guys!
Just a few quick favorites!

more engagements!
Ok, this couple just made my life easy! Fun, beautiful, and willing to go through pain to get the best shots (anything for the picture, right!)! I am glad to report that after a few hours of climbing through old barns, wasp filled trucks, sheet metal, glass and nails- there were no injuries, and lots of gorgeous pictures! hooray

It was a miracle that the rain let up for a few hours for our photo shoot yesterday! We went from thunder and lightning, to blue skies, and then back to pouring rain! So we were glad to fit these in that "window of opportunity"!
They are a cute, fun, happy couple, and I can't wait to do the rest of their wedding- even though it is going to be COLD , I still LOVE those December weddings!- there is magic in the air!
